It started just after midnight on her big day when Rasadhi n Aisyah decided to come up with their creative 'art work'.. :-D (see the 1st pic). I missed that part though.. went to bed b4 midnite. Anyway, in the morning I slipped in a 'strawberry' note under Amy's door to invite her for a bday dinner on the same evening. And after a whole busy day of lectures/meetings and stuff, we put our best dress on (they did, I didn't :P ) and headed to 'Thai Palace' - a Thai restaurant. Well.. I know it's no biggie for us Malaysians but it was Amy's choice. She's the boss! ;-)
Amy ordered a seafood dish (Talapia fish! Can u believe it..?? Must have been in the 13 hours flight to be flewn here in the UK?!) to go with egg noodles. I had a lot of rice with green curry.. Aisyah and Rasadhi had Thai style fried rice with king prawns, Anis only had a bowl of Tom Yam coz she's eaten b4 that in her workplace, and Azizah had a plate of Thai noodles. It was a lovely (and v quiet) night with only us being in the restaurant at the time. But I think Amy did enjoy her meal though she's not used to eat fish with bones attached to it! :P Only Malaysians do.. hehehh!! Oh oh.. Amy received a free bowl of nicely decorated yoghurt ice-cream too as a special treat from the restaurant staff for her bday!! :->
